My airpods's case battery is draining on me

Hello all. I have AirPods 3 & use a Samsung S24; I used to have an A71. I do not have an i device otherwise.

I'm experiencing a recent issue where my AirPods 3 case battery is suddenly draining out during the day, so it'll go from, say, 90% to 15%! I have no idea why. I thought it was my case itself, being 2 years old, so I bought a like-new refurbished one online, & this case is doing the same exact thing. So I'm wondering if it's my new phone? I have no idea what settings to check. I do use two 3rd party apps: Andropods & Materialpods. Nothing there. I have used a power strip vs a wall outlet, but nothing. I did purchase a 2nd charging set, to try next. I have updated the AirPods in the past, using my coworkers's iphones, & best buy. Have I missed one? Idk. I've been online reading articles. Thanks for any help.
