What is causing my Apple Pencil 1st Gen to charge inconsistently?

if there is a problem with apple pencil 1 charging comes and goes like when I put On iPad to charge sometimes charging normally, sometimes charging slowly, sometimes when plug it with iPad the charging Percentage decreases and charges slowly.

if this problem comes and goes this means the problem from the software right?

I am using iPad 10 gen
