Lost or stolen Apple Watch and AirPods

someone stole my Apple Watch and AirPod pros and I have apple care when I contacted support I was told that apple care can’t cover stolen devices which is disappointing because almost any other company where you buy directly from them will help you replace the stolen item so that you do not have to re purchase the item at full price again. Needless to say I am very dissatisfied as I have been an apple user for over 20 years and have owned well over 20 apple products over the years however now after this and the climate we live in I will not be a returning customer after this experience. Even a $100 off of my next purchase or something would have sufficed ! But there was nothing. .
