2024-Beats Pill won't connect via USB-C

The 2024 Beats Pill allows you to have audio through USB-C connection. Im using the exact same USB-C cable that is in the box brand new and try to play audio with my MAC-Mini with no success. Instructions say “press power button when connecting USB-C cable for audio output” but it doesn’t work. Getting frustrated out my mind

Mac mini, macOS 15.3

im using Mac mini m1 series… it only has 2 c ports but I only tried the one I’ll try the other but I thought it would also work with any device that has c-port audio jack.. well why least that’s what I read in the manual…. But I’ve tried it with my iPhone 14 and it does The same thing… when I plug it in , it hesitates then thumps twice with a red blinking light twice… I feel like I’ve been got for false advertisement

How have you tried with iPhone 14? Doesn’t it still have a lightning port?

So, I’ve just read the following in another community thread: ”It supports USB-C to USB-C for lossless audio. Otherwise it's only a bluetooth speaker. The method of holding down the power button works when you are connecting it to a USB-C source like a Mac or iPhone/iPad. […] It will say on your device instead of whatever you speaker is named, it shows USB Beats Pill as the sound source.

And I can say as someone who tried it, the difference in sound between bluetooth and USB-C lossless is minimal at best.” So, the text says “hold power button”, not press. Maybe try this out, otherwise I’d suggest contacting apple support.
