AirPods Pro 2 update issue on iPhone

When 1st connecting pros2 /says check update/phone says up to date(all green bars)/ phone will only let you attach pros2 with limited functionality/ no option for find my. /// I do have a lost pair of pods still attached to phone but all sources act like you can have more than one set of pros on a phone.
