My apple pencil is not working on my ipad

First of all, check if your unidentified iPad Pro model supports the unidentified Apple Pencil you're using, with these instructions:--> Identify your iPad model

If everything is okay and if you already tried (to no avail) to perform all the steps provided in this support artcle:--> If you can't pair Apple Pencil with your iPad , I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly, using this link:--> Contact Apple for support and service , or make an appointment (*) and have your device+pencil inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
