iPad won't play certain songs synced from MacBook Music library

I regularly sync my Music library from MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015) to iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (2nd generation), however I've noticed recently that some songs - only certain mp3s that synced properly for years - will not play and are simply skipped, despite appearing in playlists and in the music library. All songs used to play just fine.

I've synced the same music library and songs to iPhone 11 Pro which plays them in Music without a problem.

Anyone know what might be going on with Music app on the iPad?
