Unable to update my AirPods Pro 2

So I got my first pair of AirPods (from Apple’s website) they won’t update to the latest version for some reason they’re on an old version (5E135) I’ve connected support no luck they just keep saying to keep them next to each other, or try my Mac I’ve tried all of it. Once again I bought them directly through Apple, no idea what to do
