Unable to login my iPad 4 with iOS 12

I have an ipad 4. I can't login to the device.

It says: can't use my login details to login to a device. Only to a device that is on os15 or later.

WHY ??? Are they out of a broken mind??

Yet another device that goes to landfil. Even though I use apple devices, it sickens me to the core taking part in this.

Are there other people who have etical considerations around using apple and them making all to produce yet more rubbish? Could be done anything about it?

Perhaps you have enabled Account Recovery or Advanced Data Protection features, or a Recovery Contact, for your AppleID (now known as your Apple Account) on one of your other Apple devices. If so, you'll not be able to sign-in using any device that has iOS/iPadOS 15.x or earlier installed.

If these features are active for your AppleID, you will need to disable them before you can use your AppleID with iOS/iPadOS15 devices, you will need to disable them from one of your newer devices.

Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > iCloud > Advanced Data Protection
