Unable to add Apple Pencil Pro to Find My

When I try to add my Pencil Pro to Find My I press upon the + sign. It shows me a message to attach the Pencil to the side of the iPad Pro. When I do that it and press okay, the message dissapears, but so does the ‘add screen’. So after all, no added device to Find My.


I tried to unfair the pen from Bluetooth, restanted the device, reattached the Pencil again, but same isse… is this a known issue? And what can be done (WITHOUT resetting my iPad.)

I don’t want to reset all settings to get this to work.

I did reset all settings, and worked !!!


I went to Settings - General - Transfer or Reset IPad - Reset - Reset All Settings.


Then you must activate location again of all devices, then go to Find My, connect the Apple Pencil to the iPad and follow instructions.


Now the Apple Pencil is in Find My.


Please be aware that after these steps you must configure all settings again - Network wifi, Siri, , FaceID, Wallet, etc. But its worth it.. its working now!
