Missing battery indicator for Apple Bluetooth mouse on widget and system settings

After this last OS update the appple bluetooth mouse battery level indicator is missing from widget and will disappear on system settings view of the mouse. This happens mostly when the bluetooth is lost to the mouse, like when you swap out batteries.
