icloud reminder to login to an account old email after changing to new email

I updated my Apple account changing the email address to one I now use. But I keep getting pop-up "reminders" to login to the icloud account using the old email address which is no longer associated to an Apple account. How do I get rid of this reminder permanently?

If I simply close the reminder it simply opens again.

I've tried ending the program in Task Manager but that only lasts until I restart Windows.

I've tried logging in to the account using the new email which works as far as getting me into icloud but the pop-up reminders continue
