Apple Music not playing next song automatically from Apple Watch with AirPods

When I am playing a downloaded playlist on my Apple Watch Ultra with my AirPods connected to the watch it will not automatically play the next song, I have to constantly do it manually.

This is becoming quite annoying while I am out on a run as it messes with my rhythm. When I take my phone it does not do it, but I do not want to take my phone with me as it become moves around too much in my pocket.

Does anyone else have this issue? I have done all updates on all devices and tried resetting, but still doing it.
