AirPod Pro controls no longer appearing

I have a recen,y got a new iPhone (16) . With my old iPhone, when I put my AirPod pros in my ears, a control of some kind appeared on my phone (on Lock Screen I think it was) which allowed me to choose between noise cancellation or transparency, etc, but that control doesn’t seem to be popping up anymore and I don’t know where to find it to add it. Can anyone help me please? Maybe it’s a bug or maybe it’s my new phone that I am not familiar with and haven’t set it up yet correctly.
