Itunes for windows crashes when I delete songs(s)

Almost every time I go to delete songs that I have recently added to itunes the program crashes. It basically freezes up and I have to go to the task manager to close the application. When I reopen it appears to work ok until I go to delete another song or songs. I've removed and reinstalled the application from the Microsoft store several times but it doesn't help.

iPhone SE, iOS 18

Try holding down Shift+Ctrl as you launch iTunes to open it in its safe mode. This may perform some internal housekeeping.

Look inside your iTunes folder and enable the display of hidden files. If you see any .tmp files they should be deleted.

Do you have any third party AV software? This can sometimes interfere with the way that iTunes updates the library. Excluding your iTunes folder from any real-time scanning feature may help with this.
