How can I fix WhatsApp error when linking iPhone?

WhatsApp I cannot link my phone to WhatsApp Web or WhatsApp for PC. It keeps asking me to scan the QR code and then will not finish syncing or downloading my chats but starts all over again. When I try to link with my phone number, it keeps telling me the code is wrong. I have restarted my phone several times and closed down and restarted my PC quite a few times.
