iPhone sending text to wrong number

I’ve been trying to text my husband, as always. He has a personal android Samsung phone and then a iPhone for work. I’ve always had both numbers saved in a contact under his name in my phone. If i needed to text one versus the other id choose the number. I have never had an issue until yesterday, whenever i text his personal phone all the texts go to his work iPhone. The messages show up as a green text , but he texts me back and says I’m texting his work phone.


I’ve deleted his contact info, I’ve deleted both numbers from my phone. But continue to have this issue. Does anyone have any solution or recommendation??

I am having the exact same issue! I tried to update the phone, delete his contact, and restart the phone. When he texts me back it says it's from his iPhone even if he is using his android or it will say we are in a chat with his work phone. It doesn't show blue messages, so I do not even realize it's going to the wrong phone. I have tried selecting his personal # specifically and it still goes to his work phone. He even has a different email for his work phone etc. This is extremely frustrating.
