New Apple TV remote intermittently freezing
I am having a very similar problem. Thinking it was a TV issue I went through resetting everything to factory default, replaced all the batteries, etc. It wasn't until I took my new Apple TV remote into another room to charge that I noticed the TV in that room was doing the exact same thing. I tried charging the remote overnight and it did not fix the problem. After chatting with Apple and explaining the problem, they sent me a new remote. It has worked perfectly for the past few weeks and now it is doing the exact same thing. I've currently got it on the charger but am wondering if I need to try and reboot/reset the remote as detailed earlier in this post? Does anyone have any insight? Or should I just contact Apple again directly??
I have two older Apple TVs (that I've had forever) and have never had any issues with them. Any help would be much appreciated.
