Why is my DVD audio playing but video is not on Mac?

It has files with the extensions of BUP, IFO, and V08. When I play it, the audio plays but the video shows for 1-2 seconds and then the screen turns to gray. I have a 2024 macbook pro and I'm using an apple USB SuperDrive to play it connected with a USB-A to USB-C Adapter. I bought that adapter because the mac did not recognize the USB-V Multi-port Hub I was using. I learned about that approach from a user on YouTube. I will try playing another video from another source.
