Universal Control & iPhone Mirroring timeouts due to USB-C Hub ???

Setup:

• 2023 M2 Mac Mini Pro
• 5th Gen. iPad Air
• iPhone 13 Pro
• USB-c Satechi Stand/Hub with 2 TB NVMe SSD
• All running latest software

At some point, I noted that Universal Control to share mouse and keyboard between the Mac Mini and iPad stopped working (connection times out), and when trying the new iPhone Mirroring feature - that also times out.

After going through all the troubleshooting hints I could find, I finally disconnected the Satechi hub, and the timeouts went away! (I didn't initially associate the hub with the timeouts, as I had not tried the universal control for some time after adding the hub).

Is there any fix or workaround for this? I really like having the extra "built-in" storage and the extra ports in front.

I didn't see this mentioned in any of the posts I could find on this forum or elsewhere related to Universal Control timeouts, but I did eventually recall past issues with USB external device interference. If nothing else, maybe this post will help someone else struggling with this issue.
