Where can I take an unopened iPad and get store credit for something else?

i was gifted an iPad Pro after graduating nursing school, buy i already have one. the gift came from an organization thats sort of huge so Im not sure i can find the actual name of the person who bought it or what store it came from. the ipad is unopened and came with an Apple Pencil and magic keyboard. I wanted to try to take it to Best Buy or target for store credit to get this camera I’ve been wanting. Any advice? Will they even take it?

If it is not the latest model iPad Pro, Apple will give you

credit that can be used only at Apple. If it is the latest

model iPad Pro, you have 14 days from date of purchase

to turn it in for a refund, assuming you can provide a

receipt from Apple.

You would have to contact BestBuy or Target for their

own policies. Most retailers require a receipt.

The most likely course of action is you will have to sell the items privately

and then you can use the funds received for the camera.

Probably not. I don't know of any stores that accept the return of items that were purchased elsewhere. You could always try selling them. Ona side note, what a great gift!
