notification alerts not automatically showing. on screen (they did. 2 days ago)

I used to get alerts showing on top. R of. screen. They are still in the notification centre ( using hotcorner) but are no longer automatically displayed on the. screen . I am not sure if 'do not'disturb' is on or off. I hope is it is permanently off , as there is. no 'moon' showing in the top bar, but if I click on the 2 batteries (then. on. focus, it shows 'do not disturb'. I see a schedule, but is this a schediule for when 'do not disturb' is on, or. a schedule. for when. 'do not. disturb ' is OFF?
