Can I FORCE Sonoma to show a LIST of users on Startup?

I have three users on my M3 iMac running Sonoma (14.7.3). After an OS meltdown I wiped the drive, reinstalled Sonoma and recovered the users and Applications from Time Machine.

Now whenever I start the machine up from being switched off, I am presented with just one profile to log on under.

I have the show a list of users enabled, but this is only obeyed when I am switching users.

So after starting up, if I want to logon as profile2 I have to logon as profile1, logoff as profile1 then select profile2 from the list that has now appeared for the first time.

Over the past 11 months I always got a list after powering up.

The only change I made when I rebuilt the computer was to enable FileVault on the hard drive.

Does FileVault remove the choice of profiles and allow only the administrator who set up the OS to log in at Startup? Or is it another random glitch that Apple is throwing at its customers?

Thanks

iMac 24″, macOS 14.7
