Is my macbook to old to trade in?

Okay so I have a MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 and it’s basically unusable am i able to go somewhere to trade it in for a newer model, or is that impossible?

iPhone 14, iOS 18

Note that "MacOS Sierra 10.12.6" is a version of the operating system – not a Mac model.


I believe that all Macs that can run Sierra are capable of running High Sierra. However, for us to tell if you could upgrade any further than that, we would need to know your Mac's model name, including model year.


You should be able to find this information by selecting About This Mac menu item in the Apple () menu.
