Start it up while holding down the T key. For more informations: Transfer files between two Mac computers using target disk mode - Apple Support.

The 2005 Mac Minis were all PowerPC G4 models and shipped with OS X 10.3.7 - 10.4.2. The early (Feb) 2006 model was an Intel Core Solo processor and shipped with OS X 10.4.5.
