I added my Woolworths Everyday Rewards card (Australia) to my Apple wallet. However, when I scan it at the supermarket checkout, it doesn't register. Wondering if anyone else has this problem and/or a solution?

This is the system we have in Australia. Assume it is NFC. I scan the card at the checkout. It then allocates rewards points based on the value of the shop to my account in the rewards program (I use a credit card to pay for the purchase). I have a physical rewards card that I can use to scan and also a version saved in the rewards app, which works fine on the iphone. I also saved to my Apple wallet, but when I try to scan from the wallet it doesn't register. I have noticed that the barcode doesn't show on the version of the card in my Apple wallet, so that could be the issue. I can reveal a barcode by clicking on the card details, so will try that next time.

Loyalty/reward cards typically use the barcode and not NFC or tapping the transaction terminal. In a grocery they may be scanned using a handheld gun or passed over the barcode reader in the checkout machine.
In the US the barcodes are typically on the front.
I have one or two that combine payment with loyalty points etc. Because they contain funds the merchant uses NFC for greater security.
What do you mean by scan? Is your Woolworth’s card a loyalty card or credit card or debit card?
It's a loyalty card. You scan it at the checkout every time you shop to get reward points.
I know how loyalty cards work. I’ve never heard anyone say scan a card. Are you trying to use NFC, or how exactly are you trying to apply your card to the purchase?
Sounds right. The barcode is on the front in the app version. I'll dig down to get the barcode in the Apple Wallet version and see if that works next time I'm in store.
