One hearing yes to iPad no to phone

my hearing aids have been paired with my iPhone 16 for several months. Suddenly they wouldn’t connect (through accessibility-hearing devices) for a few hours. Now only the left connects right away…no right shows up. Both connect to my iPad and other phones…. So it’s not the hearing aids. (Genesis… my starky app)

Phone has all updates.

Wondering if you have tried turning Bluetooth off, and back on, on the iPhone.

or

Sometimes restarting the iPhone may restore order if something is not working as expected (deletes temporary files, re-estalbishes connections, may update recent setting changes, etc

Apple support's list of Made-for-iPhone (Mfi) hearing-devices lists the Starkey models below .... List of Made for iPhone hearing devices - Apple Support

Starkey

  • Evolv AI*
  • Genesis AI*
  • Halo
  • Halo 2
  • Halo iQ
  • Livio AI*
  • Livio*
  • Livio Edge AI*

There is pairing / connection info. for the compatible models in this article below:

Use Made for iPhone hearing devices - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Hearing device doesn't appear in Hearing Devices settings

Then try again on your other Apple device.

  • Make sure your hearing device is updated with the latest firmware from the manufacturer. If it has its own app, that app can probably find and install firmware updates."
