How to resolve iPod not connecting to iTunes on Windows 10 PC?

I have tried uninstalling Itunes and then installing Itunes from Microsoft Store. This worked but has since stopped working after first use and reverting to not recognising my Ipod.

Thank you for your suggestion but Apple's website directs user to Microsoft Store version.

You can scroll down that page and use a link along the lines of Looking for other versions? > Windows. Or use this direct link to the current version of the traditional installer:

Thank you TT2 ( turingtest2) for your reply and sorry for my tardinest in replying and expressing my appreciation for your help. It was really appreciated.

Yes this works, but is not retained when I logon again to ITunes. So I have to change it time I a logon and at least I can get it to work again.

Apple support were a waste of time and really not interested in offering a solution. Very disapppointed with them. Would not buy an Apple product again.

Try uninstalling the Microsoft Store version and download iTunes directly from Apple’s website instead—it’s more stable for device detection. Also, check that Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is showing properly in Device Manager under “Universal Serial Bus controllers.”
