Apple TV no longer controlling TV

My Apple TV is no longer turning on my Sony Bravia after having worked perfectly for a long time. It seems to have happened in the last 24 hours. The ‘Control TVs and AV Receivers’ option is stuck on ‘Off’. I have power-cycled (on units and from the wall), replugged all connections, ensured HDMI-CEC is enabled on my Bravia, reset WIFI, and even re-paired the remote. The software is up to date: ‘tvOS 18.3.1 [22K561]’. Might there be a bug in the latest release?

Same issue on a Samsung TV since updating to tvOS 18.3.1. I’ve confirmed that all connections for ARC/CEC are correct and fully inserted, the Samsung’s settings for auto on/off are correct, and AppleTV settings are correct.
