Why can't I burn AIFF files to CD on my MacBook Pro?

I have a set of files from a live recording made 25 years ago. No copyright, not purchased. Computer has been "authorized" (whatever that means). Can't burn to CD. Error message for 12 of 14 files: "Some of the files cannot be burned". The only suggestion made has to do with authorizing, which has been done (twice).

Alden, That is a huge file but Music should be able to handle it. Right-click the file on your desktop and choose Open With > Music. It should start playing and highlight the correct library entry, so make sure that is the same one that you are using in the playlist.

So the Music app corrupted it. Unfortunately, trying to create Burn Folder by way of the Finder was equally unsuccessful.

Make sure to have a backup copy of the good file. Then delete the bad file in Music, and re-load it.
