Move to IOS won't move messages with photos or hyperlinks.

I was given an iPhone 11 to try a while ago but I could not get the SMS messages to transfer correctly. After a few weeks trying this and that I gave up and passed the phone to a nephew. Anyway, I have been given an iPhone 13 now and thought I would try again. Sadly, it is the same on this 13 as well. :-(

The problem did get escalated last time but support/engineering couldn't find a fix and stopped calling back.

The problem is simple. Any text message on my Android that is just text transfers perfectly. Any message that has a picture or hyperlink in it transfers across as a group chat.

Has anyone any ideas or is this one a lost cause? Thanks.
