Can my boyfriend's mother receive copies of my text messages to him on her iPhone?

My boyfriend says she’s lying but she’s so confident when she says it, could this be possible? my boyfriends mom is saying that every text message i send him, also goes to her phone and she can see everything(its only me), is this possible? side note were all adults
