Can someone use my IP address to make purchases in my name?

I have someone who says my ip address showed up as my name on an online transaction on her cash app card through amazon? It certainly wasn’t me & now I think someone’s stolen or is using my phone to try to make purchases in my name

I don’t know if he was able to install spyware or malware on to my iPad, because ever since then, when I go to my store apps or their websites on Safari, they have my location as being in Newark, NJ (I live in South Jersey, near Camden, NJ), and this morning (8/30/22), I received a message that there were unsuccessful attempts to access my Apple ID from Newark, NJ, and to change my password immediately, which I did. This is very frustrating and scary! What can I do to find out for sure if someone has access to my iPad and iPhone? Should I make an appointment with my Apple Store to have both checked out? Someone with Apple connection compromised my credit card on June 3 and June 5. My credit card is with NCB ending 3982. How can I access the name of the purchaser. Someone charged to my account Some charged to my account ...I dont have a credit card attached to it...yet they used my card...apple refunded charges but will not tell me who it was even though they said another person is on my account, that they can not disclose who it is because they have privacy rights...Im single and live alone ...I have given no one access how can they not provide me the info?..Its like lets help the thieves???

No. No one can make a purchase with your IP address. You should be easily be able to see if you have made any charges with any cards you have in Apple Pay. Check your credit cards. I think someone is making this up.

What does any of this have to do with Apple Pay or even Apple? Do you have a Cash App account? Do you have an Amazon account? Do you know the person that told you about your IP address or were you talking to a scammer?
