Visa gift card stopped working all of a sudden

My gift card worked a couple days before and now it isn’t working when I tried to buy something, it told me to put the info back into the payment method but it kept saying something like update it and then it said contact Apple. I have money on the card still and was able to use it on my Computer to test and see if it worked. I live in America so i shouldn’t be having this problem.
