Is Apple Services really Apple or is it a scam?

I got some help from someone who said my icloud account was almost full. He said I could double my data limit for $2.99. When I said ok, he got really excited. I figured it was because perhaps he gets a commission. Today I got a bill for this service and I'd forgotten what it was for, so I went to paypal to find out what it was for. Paypal said I should call apple services at 8******73. I called, got a bot who tried to sell me a medical alert device and when I didn't want it, they hung up. I redialed, and same thing. No way to reach Apple. Was the excitement a red flag?

The 2.99 isn't a big deal if it's really giving me double the data on 1Cloud, but if I've been scammed, I want to fix this.

Thanks to anyone who has the truth,

Erin

Not only was it NOT Apple, you just gave your credit card information to a crook.

You need to call your credit card company (the number is on the back of the card) and have them cancel it IMMEDIATELY! And I do seriously mean RIGHT NOW!

The longer you wait, the more likely they'll start making purchases on your current card.
