How to report a phishing text message?

On Sept. 2, 2025 I received a text message from +1 *******9 entitled “Unverified Apple Pay Usage,”

NOTE the final comma in lieu of a period.

Because I do not even have an ApplePay account, I concluded it was an attempt at phishing.

The message encouraged me to report the “activity” if it was not familiar by calling “Apple Support: +1-*******9”

i would like to report this incident to Apple but through other channels, obviously. Help, please!

”To report a suspicious SMS text message that looks like it's supposed to be from Apple, take a screenshot of the message and email the screenshot to reportphishing@apple.com.”

You can report phishing at these links and most importantly your local law enforcement.
