Birthdays not appearing in Calendar on Mac OS X 26

OK so my birthdays are suddenly not displaying in Calendar on Mac OS X 26. I have the Birthdays calendar selected (on for display) and I have tried the usual fixes of turning off-restart-turn on and etc. to no avail. I've also tried fixes found online in several places for similar issues -- still nothing. All my birthdays are showing up fine in iOS 26 on iPhone 15 and iPadOS 26 on iPad Pro. Anyone have any ideas?

OK I'll leave this for anyone else with a similar problem, but I managed to fix it on my own:

Calendar > Settings...

Deselect Show Birthdays calendar.

Quit Calendar.

Reopen Calendar.

Fixed.

I have exactly the same situation, but on iOS26. I see birthdays in the calendar on my watch, I see birthdays in the calendar on icloud.com, but they are not visible on my phone and I don't receive reminders.
