blurry fonts and verticals lines on extreneram display with m3 mac

i use a USB type-c dongle that has a display port to connect my 1440p monitor to my m3 mac but text and icons seem very blurry an it seems like circles and rounded edges have vertical line through them (and yes i have downloaded betterdisplay an it didn't help much)
