Do you have an external display connected which may be supplying power to the laptop? Or perhaps a powered dock or hub?

What version of macOS are you running & the exact model of your Mac? You can get this information by clicking the Apple menu & selecting "About This Mac". I have seen a post or two that have mentioned a possible issue with Tahoe.

What is the condition of the Battery as reported by macOS?

Have you tried disconnecting all external devices?

Rebooted the computer?

Run the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected.

If this is an Intel Mac, then try an SMC Reset (read the instructions very carefully since the process has changed for the T2 Macs).

Edit: When posting pictures, please make sure they are properly oriented. This is very easy to do on an iPhone/iPad and I'm sure Android devices have a similar option. It is very annoying to look at sideways or upside pictures....I will usually completely ignore them....people asking for assistance should make it easy for others to assist them.

this is run by Sonoma. i already did the SMC reset, it didn’t work too.

Since this is all of the information provided from the questions asked, then you should take your laptop to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined. This may be needed anyway since some things must be seen in person in order to troubleshoot the issue.

Please update this post once you resolve this issue or have more information to share so it may help others who encounter such a situation.
