How can I understand why my second appstore review is removed for violation of Submission Guidelines?

Hi,

it is the second time my appstore review is removed for non-compliance with appstore Submission Guidelines.

I get back a generic message from apple's no-reply address, that I can read their XX page documentation and think about my sins. Yes, it is so general.

1) They do not quote my review, which is now essentially lost to me,

2) nor do they point out what did I do wrong,

3) nor do they provide a point of contact, or clear way to appeal (unlike google, kudos).

How can I find out and follow up?

As I cannot see my review anymore: but it essentially went like:

"app A is good for A,B,C but has severe limitations D,E,F,G specific issues, etc."

  • it did not contain any anger, swearwords, etc.
  • both reviews were critical - were they simply reported by the owner of the app as "violation" and app store accepted, or even just accepted automatically?

It feels a bit like a prison of smiles, where negative reviews are simply removed?

Can anyone help out?

Thank you for your time.

Am not sure if I understand correctly what reviews you are trying to achieve:

Also, am no expert in this area, yet your question to the community deserves some response (none so far).

Re: non-compliance with appstore Submission Guidelines

Seems this compliance / non-compliance applies to app-developers whose apps are under review

ie: developers who are submittting apps for acceptance into the App Store.

It would be Apple who makes the review of the developer's app before it is accepted (or not) for release.?

Seems like your review is about an existing app already available in the App Store. I could be wrong.

If correct though, are you sure you are submitting the review in the right place, via the correct method.

ie: You may need to use the steps provided in Apple Support's online linked article below to submit the review:

Eg: Tell people about Mac apps available in the App Store - Apple Support

Suggesting you always keep a back-up copy if you submit further reviews.

One way is to create the review as a document, and when complete, paste in a copy to submit it.
