Purchasing older Logic Pro version for incompatible Mac on App Store
I propose purchasing (post-X) Logic Pro "for the first time", to install on a late 2015 iMac running OS 12.7.4 (Monterey).
Whilst it seems I could make the purchase from the iMac above, on the App Store as accessed from that machine Logic Pro is listed as "version 11.2.2" that both "requires macOS 14.4 or later" and "works on this Mac"... contradictory specs, since a late 2015 iMac cannot run OS 14. In short, I cannot tell if I’m purchasing software that I’ll be able to use on the Mac used to make the purchase.
What will happen if I make this purchase?
Will I be able, subsequently, to download what is officially an outdated version of Logic Pro, to run on my 2015 iMac under OS 12.7.4 (possibly Logic Pro 10.7.9)?
So far, I can find no clarity on this issue via official Apple channels.
