MacOs 14.8.1 (23J30) Sonoma deletes half my password

Every time I try to log in to Mac and it does not allow biometric login because the lid was down or the system is shut up and I have to write my password, midway, it deletes what I have written. As suggested, I have tried waiting a few seconds before I write the password but it still does not work, it all gets deleted. When I start to write my password, about 5 or 6 characters in the system highlights the whole thing and so the next character I type deletes the whole thing. It started not on this last update but on the one before that, and on the last update it got worse. I don't know what to do, as all the suggestions on the forums do not work, like waiting, etc.

1 - If " the lid is down " how are you capable to access the Touch ID / Power button ?

2 - You mention typing and letters get deleted

Again, with " the lid is down " , to type you password would require an External Keyboard and a External Display

3 - When the computer " the system is shut up " meaning shutdown ?

Suggest reading the fine print below in second image
