I've been trying to add my payment details to my app store for the first time but the mobile number is not being accepted. Required is a 7 digit number but all cellphone numbers have 8 digits. What do I do?

The 800-MYAPPLE number is for the USA only and the USA does not use mobile billing as a payment method. Therefore what you need is to contact Apple in the country to which your account is set.
