Screen Saver and email blocking

Two Issues - Since I've upgraded to Tahoe (26.0.1) it appears that Apple only wants me to use their screen saver pics. Why is this and why would Apple do this. Is there an (easy) way to circumvent this? I've tried to move my private screen saver pics into the folder where Apple's screen shots are but it appears to be locked.

Two - I get email from many mailing lists and some of them (randomly it seems) are being blocker by the new Mail app. I've gone thru what the community is saying on-line but I have no email blockers turned on (and Why would Apple assume that I want them to block emails from maining lists by default? I now have to go back to my forwarding email service (earthlink.net) to read emails from my (very much wanted) mailing lists. Is there any way to fix this? It's pecular because some mailing list content is blocked and some isn't. This isn't anything racy (unless you thin the ARRL is racy).

APPLE please fix and stop trying to make decisions for your users, just tell us how to use new features and not shove them down our throats!!!
