after a crash Safari reports "This connection is not private"

After a power outage and restart, Safari on my Mac mini (Sonoma 14.4.1) now reports "This Connection is Not Private" for nearly all websites I try to visit, all of which were no problem before the crash. In some cases Safari reports it couldn't establish a secure connection to the server. Additionally, Mac Mail now shows question marks where images are supposed to be in messages. I've tried:

1 - Restart Mac

2 - Making sure Time and Date are set correctly

3 - Removing System.keychain and restart

4 - Disabling all extensions in Safari

5 - Clearing History and removing all website data in Safari

6 - Using Private mode in Safari

7 - Restart router (even though other computers on that router are fine)

Multiple restarts of Mac, Safari and Mail, and the problem persists. All was fine immediately before the power outage/reboot.

BTW, if I log out and log in as a different user on the Mini, I get the same results. So it's not something specific to this one account.

Suggestions appreciated!

Try reinstalling macOS.

WARNING:(It could be different I don't have a m series Mac but it should be like that)

Step 1: Enter macOS Recovery

  1. Shut down your Mac completely.
  2. Press and hold the power button until you see "Loading startup options".
  3. Click on "Options" and then click "Continue".

Step 2: Connect to the internet

  1. You may be prompted to connect to the internet. Ensure you have a stable broadband connection, either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
  2. If using Wi-Fi, click the Wi-Fi icon in the upper-right corner and select your network, entering the password if required.

Step 3: Reinstall macOS

  1. Once the Recovery app appears, select "Reinstall macOS" and click "Continue".
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions and accept the terms and conditions.
  3. When asked, select your internal drive (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click "Continue" to begin the installation.

If that doesn't help then try contacting apple.
