Music library not playing chronologically in macOS

Up until Mac os26 Tahoe I was able to press play at the top of my list of albums sorted by artist and I could play it chronologically as I had sorted it this way, this feature still operates on my iPhone and my iPad without a hitch, however since Tahoe my library on the Mac, while still showing in chronological order will only play albums alphabetically when I press the play button at the top of the list, even if I press play on the first album listed it will only play that album and then stop they also seem to have removed the option to add music to a queue for Mac users although iOS users can still do this, do they have something against Mac users playing music?
