Voice Memos Folder Highlighting Issue in iOS/MacOS/iPadOS started iOS 17 persists in 26.1
I am a power user of the native Voice Memos app on iOS, iPadOS and MacOS. I have over 2000 recordings and I have them categorized into 5 different folders. Ever since iOS 17, when I put a voice memo into a folder named Jokes for example, when I go into the Jokes folder and try to move it by swiping left on that recording and clicking on the move button, the folder that that recording was in in My Folders view would be in a darker color than the other folders i.e. highlighting which folder it is in, i.e. Jokes. Similarly in All Recordings > swipe left on a recording which I know is in a specific folder > move > I can't tell which folder that recording is in, I was able to prior to iOS/MacOS/iPadOS 17 and the issue persists in 26.1 on iOS. I have created at least 5/6 support tickets over the past 2 years with Apple Support over the phone. Most recently 2 months ago they initiated a screen share and they saw what I was talking about and the agent said "Apple was too big a company to make such a mistake, so it has to be a feature". I then proceeded to show them the Notes app (which should share the same folder logic as voice memos) had this ability where I can see which folder a note was in by that specific folder being in a darker color in Folders view when moving, to which they then agreed it was an issue, they said it should obviously need to be addressed in an iOS/MacOS/iPadOS update, I just updated to iOS 26.1 its not fixed.
