Wondering whether turning Bluetooth for the speaker off, and back on, helps things return to normal.

If not: You might want to check whether or not your iPad has the most recent iPadOS 18 update installed:

For the latest iPad OS 18 : About iPadOS 18 Updates - Apple Support says iPadOS 18.7.2

"This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users".

(iPadOS 26.1 is also available for those whose iPads are compatible, and want to upgrade and install it.)

If needed: You can check for updates in Settings > General > Software updates.

Reminder: It is always wise to back-up your iPad beforehand, if you choose to update / upgrade iPadOS version.

If already using iPadOS 18.7.2 (or iPadOS 26.1)

You might want to try restarting the iPad again (ie: deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may update any recent setting changes etc, and often restores order if something is not working as expected.)

If you still need help with connecting to the speaker:

For connection "dropping" difficulties:

If your speaker won't stay connected wirelessly, there might be interference with other wireless devices.
