CarPlay not reading out WhatsApp messages

Yesterday I noticed that CarPlay wasn’t reading out my WhatsApp messages.

The notification pops up on screen, and when I tap it, it just says ‘something is wrong’ or "and error has occurred'

I can send messages successfully. It’s just the reading out of incoming messages that doesn’t work.

I’ve updated the WhatsApp app to the latest version.

And I’m running the latest version of iOS.

I’ve also checked the ‘announcement’ settings for WhatsApp and CarPlay and they look fine.

Any help would be appreciated…
