iPhone Mirroring Caps Lock Changes Languages

When using "iPhone Mirroring" on my Mac, every time I press caps lock it changes which language I am typing in. Pressing caps lock again does not switch it back, control-space does not switch it back, changing the language manually on my Mac does not work, the only thing that does is exiting mirroring and re-starting it. In my Mac settings, I have the option "use caps lock key to switch to and from U.S." turned off, I've tried to find a similar option on my iPhone but cannot. How do I stop this from happening?
